Change Your Life with Isagenix – A First Look

I was diagnosed with stage three, triple positive Breast Cancer in September 2016 at the age of 37. My treatments have consisted of six rounds of very nasty chemotherapy medications, double mastectomy surgery, five weeks of radiation, and chemotherapy maintenance for an entire year. A common side effect of cancer treatment is weight loss, and my goal was to at least maintain my existing weight. At the time of my diagnosis, I weighed around 130lbs, which is a comfortable weight for my 5′ 8″ frame.

The hardest part of a cancer diagnosis is not the diagnosis itself, instead, it’s what all the treatments do to your body. Chemotherapy takes its toll on the body both physically and mentally. You experience fatigue unlike you have ever felt before, you can’t seem to think straight, and your sense of taste is thrown so far out of whack that the foods you used to love now taste like crap. I guess that is why so many people lose so much weight during this process because to be honest the last thing you want to do is eat when food both smells and tastes bad to you.

My main goal in this process was to not do anything that would hinder my treatment process. While I did try my best to eat healthy, I also ended up using my diagnosis as an excuse to eat whatever I felt like. This included cookies, ice cream, and any other “treat” that caught my eye in the grocery store. At every oncology appointment, I am required to have my vitals checked, which includes a weigh in. Over the last few months, I have noticed the number on the scale slowly creeping upward. I kept making excuses for myself thinking that it was because of the clothes I was wearing, or the fact that I had two fluid filled expanders in my chest. My denial suddenly became a reality a few weeks ago when I had to dress up for a job interview. Suddenly I could no longer fit into the pants that were borderline baggy on me only a year ago.

Now you may be asking yourself, so how does Isagenix fit into all this? Well, it’s actually quite simple. After much trial and error with trying to find an outfit that fit, I turned to my friends on Facebook to vent my frustrations. While my cousin, who is the same age as me, chimed in to concur that she was dealing with the same issue, it was a close friend of mine who reached out to me to advise me on how these products could help me lose weight and regain my health. She had been using this product for over four years, was a close personal friend since grammar school, and while I knew she wouldn’t recommend something that she hadn’t thoroughly vetted herself, I couldn’t help but still remain a bit skeptical.

She provided me with more info than I could ever want, all the nutritional information, as well as the success she has had while using the products. Since my cancer was estrogen positive, my biggest concern was whether or not the Isagenix products contained soy. To those who may not already know, soy can mimic estrogen in the body, and while it is not always possible to avoid it entirely, I try to be proactive and avoid it as much as possible. I was happy to learn that all the Isagenix products are free of soy, artificial colors, flavors and sweeteners. Isagenix products are also made using non-GMO, or non genetically modified, ingredients, which can be very hard to come by in the nutrition marketplace.

After having felt so crappy for so long, I finally decided that I had nothing to lose by giving the products a try. Isagenix offers a money back guarantee that if for any reason you do not like their products, or they do not deliver the results you are hoping for, you can return them for a full refund. While the 30 Day System is the most popular starter package from Isagenix, I didn’t have the funds to afford it, as I had unexpectedly lost my job in the last few weeks. I instead opted to try the IsaLean Shake in Creamy Dutch Chocolate, as well as the Ionix Supreme.

I have only used the shakes for three days so far, and I have already noticed a difference in my energy levels. Although I do still wake up a few times during the night, I now get up in the morning feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the day, instead of feeling like I’m struggling to find enough energy to walk to the mailbox to get the days mail. I have also noticed an improvement in my mental focus. I no longer feel like my brain is in a constant fog, which allows me to actually focus on the daily tasks that need to be done to keep my e-commerce shops up and running. While I have not noticed any weight loss as of yet, and I wouldn’t expect to after only a few days, I am excited to see where these products take me and I encourage you to stay tuned to my site so you can follow me on my path to wellness, and possibly be inspired to try the Isagenix products for yourself. You truly have nothing to lose, and a healthy lifestyle to gain!

This sounds like powerful stuff, and it seems potent as a nourishing drink to improve your health, which is my preference, as my weight is controlled. Also, it must be good, or I expect you would have trouble getting it down – right? Good to see that it is soy free, as I try and avoid soy for other reasons.
I didn’t see a full nutritional or ingredients breakdown, though, so I’m curious. Where can I find nutrition and ingredients for the shake or other option?

Thanks for your reply. I do have plans for another post reviewing the Isagenix Lean Shake itself, including ingredients and nutritional information, but you can find all the nutrition information for the shake here: https://jenniferbedellbiz.isag… . When you arrive on the page, there is an ingredients tab. You will need to choose the shake flavor and that will open a Adobe Acrobat file which will give you all the ingredients as well as all the nutritional information. I have only been using the product for less than a week, and I’m already down 1 lb, which I know may not be much to some, but at least I’m moving in the right direction.

I had a lady come in where I work just about a month ago that was giving me information on isagenix. She made me excited about the losing weight part because I really need to lose some weight. She was even able to get off of some of her medications by using isagenix.

I wish I could try isagenix, but when I went to try to purchase, it was so expensive. I live from paycheck to paycheck at the moment so it’s very hard for me to get isagenix.

Is there a cheaper way to start to see if I like the products?

I completely understand your concerns about the cost. I had recently lost my job prior to trying this product, which is why I only tried the shake and Ionix Supreme. At a minimum, I would recommend signing up for the Auto-Ship for the shakes. They come in Creamy Dutch Chocolate, Strawberry Cream, or Creamy French Vanilla. There are also dairy free options if you need that as well. With the Auto-Ship, you pay a one-time fee of $29, but then that entitles you to a 25% discount on all your purchases for an entire year. So one cannister just to try would only be $68.95 before shipping charges. Otherwise, the one-time price is $53.27 plus shipping. If that is still too expensive, there is also a Customer on Autoship option. That one does not come with an annual fee, but it only gets you 10% off all future purchases, as opposed to the 25% off with the plan I mentioned previously. I hope this information helps and if you have further questions please don’t hesitate to ask.

    Hi Jennifer,

I am so sorry to hear of your condition but I’m also glad you have found a product that can help increase your energy level and as well as improve your mental focus. I’ve not heard of Isagenix but from your article, it sounds like it’s a product worth using. It’s impressive that you felt some improvement in your energy level within just three days. I am looking forward to finding out how you do in your path to wellness in your future post.

    Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for your reply! I actually said to my husband the other day that I wish I had found this product sooner because it has helped me drastically. I had my last Chemo on Wed, Sept 13th, and this is the first time I did not suffer horrible brain fog after treatment. That was proof to me that my body was deficient in some form of nutrients that the daily shakes provide. I can’t wait to see where these products take me and hope I can get my husband to start using them as well.

I applaud you for how well you have handled everything and that you have turned yourself around and now heading down a healthier path. I can see where it would be tough to want to do everything right. I can’t imagine going through what you have been thru. But I do know that a lot of people handle things in different ways, and I could see myself just going off the deep end and having a total personal pity party LOL. Sounds like you are doing great!

    • Jennifer Bedell says:

Thanks so much for your reply! Yes, it has been a very difficult road. There have been good days, as well as bad. I am just happy to finally find myself on the right path to feeling better, after having felt like poo for so very long.

Thanks for sharing about your journey so candidly.

I think many will be able to identify and be inspired. So thank you for sharing.

Isagenix does sound awesome if it boosts your energy levels. I think that something that most people struggle with. We don’t just want to lose weight but we want to feel better about ourselves. Do you have a bit more information on what the product looks like etc? Would be keen to know a bit more.

    • Jennifer Bedell says:

Thanks for the reply! Both the Isalean Shake & Ionix Supreme are in a powder form. The shake comes in a canister but is also available in individual packets if you don’t want to deal with measuring out the two scoops for each shake. The Ionix Supreme is also available in a liquid form or individual packets. I’m still working on trying other products and will be posting more info and reviews as I am able to, but you can always learn more about what Isagenix has to offer at my website: https://jenniferbedellbiz.isag… It’s is also important to note that there is a cost savings when you signup for Auto-Ship, as opposed to a one-time purchase. Of course, if the products end up not working for you Isagenix offers a 30-day return policy. So you really have nothing to lose.

Hi, Thank you so much for this post and it’s informative look into Isagenix.
Everyone knows someone who has been affected by the terrible disease and traditional treatment such as chemotherapy just does not seem to work well.
I believe the public are being more proactive in searching out new treatments and wellness products.
I wish you the best of health and thanks again.

    • Jennifer Bedell says:

Thanks for your comment! For me personally, my cancer was so advanced and aggressive, I needed to utilize traditional treatments in order to kill it. I just finished my chemo, but still have reconstructive surgery left on the list, so now I can focus on healing my body from all the toxins that were used to kill such an awful disease. The few products I have been using from Isagenix have made me feel better than I have in a long time, although I know it will take time to heal, I know I am moving in the right direction.
